Food Colors
A number of colors such as yellow, green, red, blue and brown are used in different kinds of bakery products for ornamenting cakes, biscuits and cookies. Only certain kinds of colors are permissible in food products. These colors are made under careful observation and must be certified by the board of chemistry, the department of agriculture, before they can be sold as certified food colors.
The description of the different colors used also requires more space than can be allotted in a book of this kind and will not be treated. -
