BARBADOS GOOSEBERRY

the edible fruit of the Pereskia Aculeata, a cactus found in the West Indies and distinguished as leaf-bearing in the ordinary sense of the word. It somewhat resembles the gooseberry in appearance, is generally yellow in color and of excellent flavor.
