SWEDISH TURNIP, or Turnip-rooted Cabbage

a variety of cabbage which is grown chiefly for its large turnip-like root, which grows partly under and partly above ground. In flavor it resembles the Kohlrabi. The flesh is yellow in some types, particularly the Rutabaga, and white in others.
