WHITE SAPOTA, or Sapota Chico

a greenish-yellow Mexican fruit about the size of a small apple. In flavor it resembles the peach, but it is not considered whole-some and the seeds are poisonous. The seeds and bark are locally incinerated and pulverized for medicinal purposes. In spite of the similarity of its colloquial titles, it does not belong to the Sapodilla family.
