The Care of Babies: Remove
Remove nearly all the clothing and give a sponge bath every two or three hours. If the baby breaks out with nettle rash or "prickly heat" add to the basin of water a teaspoonful of baking soda or a tablespoonful of vinegar. After bathing with this mixture leave a slight moisture on the skin. Remove all clothing except the diaper and lay the baby in a cool place, but not in a draft.
Keep the feet warm, the head cool.
It is a mistake to suppose that babies must be kept wrapped up in flannel at all seasons of the year.
