Devilled Eggs

2 tablespoons shortening 1 level teaspoon dry mustard 2 tablespoons tomato catsup 1/4 teaspoon pepper or paprika 1/3 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 6 hard cooked eggs Put together in the chafing dish and heat all the ingredients, except the eggs. Bring to the boiling point and add the eggs cut in slices. Heat and serve on hot buttered toast. Serves six.

For the Modern Kitchen

A chafing-dish supper dish rather than the cold stuffed eggs the name suggests today: sliced hard-cooked eggs warmed through in a sharp catsup-and-Worcestershire sauce and spooned over toast. It comes together in about five minutes once the eggs are cooked.
