Frozen Fruit Cubes

Make a syrup using 1/2 cup sugar to 1 cup water. Add equal parts strawberries and pineapple, cut in cubes. Pour into freezing unit of refrigerator and freeze. Serve, cut up in small squares in sherbet glasses.

For the Modern Kitchen

A 1930s refrigerator novelty: fruit suspended in sugar syrup, frozen in a shallow tray and cut into cubes at the table. The whole thing hangs on the syrup being cold and the pan being shallow.
