Other Ways to Cook Meat
Where a fairly thin, flat rock is at hand, it may be used as a natural frying pan. Place it so you can renew the fire under it by resting it securely on stones or pieces of wood or over a small trench fire.
A broiler can be made by bending a small green stick around like a tennis or squash racket shape and fastening enough cross sticks to hold the meat.
A piece of meat can be wrapped in leaves that are not bitter and cooked like or even with the potatoes in a stone lined hole.
