Adelaide Puddings (Beat the yolks of eight eggs)

939. Beat the yolks of eight eggs and whites of two, and mix with six ounces of lump sugar and six ounces of butter just melted; butter some cups, and put a little preserve or orange marmalade at the bottom of each (the cups should be small). Bake twenty minutes. They may be served with wine sauce.
