Lemon Syrup (II)

Seven pounds of loaf sugar, three quarts of water, four ounces of citric acid, one drachm of oil of le mon.
Dissolve acid in warm water; mix; don't put the acid in a brass kettle; when quite cold put in the oil of lemon and bottle.
