Letters for Newfoundland, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales (and for Germany by steamers sailing for Germany direct), per ounce or fraction, two cents.

Rates applicable to countries other than those mentioned: Letters for one ounce or fraction, five cents; for each additional ounce or fraction, three cents.

Single postals and post cards bearing written or typewritten communications, two cents. Double postals, four cents.
