Cup Pound Cake

Two cups of flour, one and one-half cups of sugar, one cup of butter, one cup of eggs, one small quarter of a teaspoon of baking powder sifted in the flour, a little nutmeg. Beat with the hand the flour and butter to a cream, stir the eggs and sugar well together, then mix all nicely together and bake in a pan with a tube in it, or in patty pans. Splendid. :
