About the Book

The Hills Brothers Company of 375 Washington Street, New York, sold Dromedary dates, cocoanut and candied fruit peels. This is their recipe book, copyright 1920, arranged — as its own foreword says — so that Dromedary products “have a place in every meal of the day.”

Every recipe was tested by Marion Harris Neil, a professional cookery writer of the period, and the book is careful to note that all its measurements are level “and therefore accurate.”
