BLUEFISH

a fish found at different periods the length of the Atlantic coast and consequently in season all the year, Florida supplying it during the winter months. It takes its name from the blue color of its skin and the slightly bluish tint of the flesh. It varies in size from half a pound to ten pounds--being occasionally found as heavy as twenty pounds. The very small fish caught during the summer months are known as "Snapper Blue."
