used in washing clothes to give them a whiter appearance. It is retailed in both solid and liquid form in many grades. Indigo (which see) is the original form but Prussian blue and aniline dyes are now very largely employed.

Liquid blue is very apt to freeze and should be kept in a warm place or the bursting bottles may entail great damage to other articles in stock.
