MACASSAR OIL

is, properly, the product of a tree of the Sapodilla family, grown in the Macassar district of Celebes, one of the East Indian Islands, but the trade article frequently consists of, or contains, cocoanut and safflower-seed oil. Its chief use is in the perfumery trade.
