RACCOON, or Coon

a small nocturnal animal of the American bear family, which generally averages about the size of a large cat. It is common in various parts of North America and is considered good game by many people. It is marked by very short legs, a furry coat of brown or gray-brown and bushy tail, generally ringed in black and white.
