TARIFF

All legislative rulings and statutes, proposed or executed, on the subject of the tariff, should receive every merchant's study and consideration. It is not necessary to be a professional politician to see that all tariff conditions and changes affect the merchant doubly-(1) by their application to his stock, and (2) by their effect on the prosperity of his customers.
