TREPANG, or Beche de Mer

a general name for several kinds of tropical seaslugs, varying in length from six inches to two feet, enjoyed as food in China, the Philippines and other oriental countries. They are prepared by cleaning, boiling, smoking and drying, being especially popular in the form of a thick soup.
