Merry Christmas Cake

2 cups sugar. 1 cup corn starch. 2 cups flour. 1 cup butter. 1/2 cup sweet milk. Whites of 8 eggs. 2 teaspoonful baking powder. Bake in jelly-cake pans. Between each layer when done, on sides and top, spread icing, with grated cocoanut. A very pretty dish.--Mrs. McG.
