Anna Merritt East had been the New Housekeeping editor of The Ladies' Home Journal when Little, Brown published Kitchenette Cookery in 1917 — a manual for the newest kind of American kitchen: the kitchenette.
Its chapters fit cooking to the space — shelves, pots and containers, marketing by telephone, breakfasts, dinners and company meals all scaled to two burners and a landlady's lease.
This edition is built from a dual-engine reading of the original pages, checked against the scans.
