Dry Measure.

A box 20 inches square, and 16] inches deep, will contain 1 barrel (3 bushels).

A box 15 inches square, and 14 will contain half a barrel.

A box 17 inches by 14 inches, and 9 inches deep, will contain 1 bushel.

A box 10 inches by 12 inches, and 9 inches deep, will contain half a bushel.

A box 8 inches square, and 8 contain 1 peck. inches deep, will A box 8 inches square, and 4 inches deep, will contain 1 gallon (dry) = bushel = 268 cubic inches.

A box 4 inches square, and 432 inches deep, will contain 1 quart.
