Maple Marshmallow Fudge

Boil 2 cups maple syrup, 3/4 cup milk, and piece of butter size of egg until mixture reaches soft ball stage, then beat until creamy and pour into buttered pan containing cut-up marshmallows.

For the Modern Kitchen

A two-ingredient candy in essence — maple syrup and milk — with marshmallows folded in at the last moment. The whole thing hinges on the thermometer and on when you stop beating.
