Toasted Apricot Salad

6 halves apricots 3 tablespoons pistachio nuts, chopped 6 marshmallows mayonnaise crisp lettuce Place apricots, hollow side up on a shallow pan. Sprinkle with pistachios and cover with marshmallows. Toast, under broiler, until marshmallows are a light brown. Serve immediately on crisp lettuce with mayonnaise.

A three-ingredient broiled fruit salad from the era when marshmallow and mayonnaise were both considered salad ingredients. The whole thing takes about five minutes, and nearly all of the risk is in the last two.
