2 eggs 1½ cup milk 2 cups flour cut in pieces 1/2 teaspoon soda 34 cup currants 1 teaspoon cinnamon ½ cup citron, thinly sliced 1½ teaspoon allspice and cut in strips 1½ teaspoon mace 1½ cup molasses 14 teaspoon clove 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract Follow directions for mixing butter cake mixtures. Bake in deep cake pans one and one-quarter hours.
