Save Buying a Coal-Scuttle

Roof cement and a little sand mixed together with enough water to give it the consistency of soft putty can be used to mend the coal-hod. When the bottom of the coal container begins to give way, clean the surface, then plaster it well with the cement and sand, using a putty knife. Sprinkle sand over the patch, and next day the coal-scuttle is ready to use. -Mrs. E. B. H., Middletown, Conn.
