Eggless Cake

One cup of sugar; one-third cup of butter; one cup of sweet milk. Stir the milk into the creamed butter and sugar. Sift three teaspoons of baking powder with three cups of flour. Flavor with nutmeg and add raisins or citron, as preferred.
