CASTOR OIL
-Mildly aperient. Used in colic and in those cases of constipation which will not bear drastic purgatives; also for mixing with gruel for the ordinary enema. Dose: A teaspoonful to 1 or 2 tablespoonfuls; an ounce is the proper quantity for mixing with gruel to make an enema.
