Almonds, Devilled

Melt two ounces of butter in a stewpan, sprinkle half a pound of blanched sweet almonds with cayenne pepper and salt, fry them in two ounces of butter till of a rich golden colour; shake them well, and take care not to burn them. Drain on blotting paper. Probable cost, 1s. 2d.
