Charlotte Russe

Mix 1 pint rich cream, 1/2 cupful powdered sugar, 1 teaspoonful vanilla. Have very cold and whip to stiff froth, turning under cream when it first rises. Line dish with sponge cake or lady fingers, fill with whipped cream.

For the Modern Kitchen

A no-bake charlotte in its simplest form: cold whipped cream in a cake-lined mold. Everything depends on the cream, since there is no gelatin here to hold the filling up.
