Sour Cream Dressing

Beat for five minutes 1 cupful of very cold rich sour cream, adding, as you do so, 1/2 teaspoonful of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoonful of powdered sugar. This dressing is good served with thin slices of chilled cucumbers.

For the Modern Kitchen

A three-ingredient dressing that depends entirely on the cream: what the book calls "rich sour cream" was cultured heavy cream, thick enough to hold air when beaten.
