Walnut Wafers

1/2 pound brown sugar, 1/2 pound broken walnut meats, 2 level tablespoonfuls flour, 1/4 teaspoonful baking-powder, 1/3 teaspoonful salt, 2 eggs. Drop small spoonfuls on buttered pans, bake in quick oven.

For the Modern Kitchen

A meringue-adjacent drop cookie with almost no flour: the brown sugar and eggs do all the binding, so the batter is loose and the wafers spread thin and crisp at the edges. Weigh the sugar and nuts rather than guessing at cups.
