Molasses Layer Cake

½ C molasses Spices 1 t soda 34 C sugar Yolks 2 eggs Butter size of egg 1/2 C hot water Dissolve soda in molasses. Flour as much as can be stirred in. Last add ½ C hot water. If too thin, add a little more flour. Makes two layers. Use whites for frosting. 6 eggs 1 C sugar 4 t lemon juice Mrs. B. H. Whitman.
