Sour Cream Gingerbread

One cupful of sour cream, I cupful of molasses, ½ cupful brown sugar, I egg, 1 teaspoonful each of cinnamon and ginger, a scant 1/2 teaspoonful of cloves, 1½ teaspoonful of salt, ½ teaspoonful of soda sifted and dissolved in the cream, I scant teaspoonful of baking-powder, sifted with 4 cupfuls of flour. Bake in two shallow pans.
