Norwegian Christmas Cookies

1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup shortening 3 eggs, well beaten 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons soda 1 tablespoon cinnamon 4 1/2 cups flour 1 cup almonds, chopped Cream shortening and sugar, add well beaten eggs. Sift salt, soda, and cinnamon with the flour and stir into the mixture. Knead in the almonds and bake on well greased sheet in a hot oven (400 degrees F.). Makes 50 3-in. cookies.
