Ginger Snaps

Bring to a boil 2 cups of honey and 1 cup of butter or 3/4 cup of lard and then cool. butter or ½ cup of lard and then cool.

Add 3 teaspoons of soda and beat until very light. Put two tablespoons of ginger into the flour, then pour in the butter and honey and mix stiff enough to roll without sticking.

Bake in a rather quick oven.
