Australian Meat (tinned)

Every good housewife should keep in her larder a few tins of Australian or American preserved meat. They are useful not only in emergencies, when unexpected guests arrive, but are at all times economical and convenient, and many tasty dishes can be made from them. As the appearance of this meat is one of the chief objections to it, it should, when used cold, be served in the New Patent Ring Dish, the use of which is sufficiently explained in the above illustration, and in which the meat can be carved most conveniently.
