Tapioca Conserve

Soak two ounces of tapioca overnight in a pint and a half of water, then mix with it half a pound of strawberry jam and three ounces of castor sugar. Put it into a pie-dish, stir frequently, and bake in a moderate oven until the tapioca is quite clear, say about three hours. Serve cold with cream. Probable cost, 9d.
