Otis Skinner 2026 Editor's Note: Skinner (1858–1942) was one of the last great romantic actors of the American stage, famous above all as the beggar Hajj in Kismet . His rabbit sauté — browned with white wine, thyme and a bouquet of herbs — is a courtly, old-world dish, fitting for a man who spent his career in doublets and Arabian-Nights finery.
