Boiled Eggs

Eggs may be cooked in the shell in either one of two ways: First, put into cold water and bring to a boil. By the time the boiling-point is reached the whites will be sufficiently cooked and of a soft, jelly-like consistency. Second, put the eggs into rapidly boiling water. Remove to the back of the stove and allow the eggs to stand three or four minutes.
