Mashed Potatoes

Cook potatoes in boiling salted water. Drain, mash.

To each cup of mashed potato, allow one tablespoon butter, one half teaspoon salt, one eighth teaspoon pepper, and hot milk to make of creamy consistency. Beat with a fork until light.
