Light Lunches for Soda Fountain Trade.
Not a few confectioners, druggists, caterers and department stores, located in the center of Philadelphia, are adopting an innovation by serving a light lunch at their soda counters from II to 2 o'clock. Between those hours it was found that there was almost no soda business, particularly in the winter time, and the noon luncheon idea has been a most attractive and profitable one. Moreover it tends to bring customers into the store that otherwise would visit other establishments, and the idea urged by up-to-date merchants and advertising men of "adopting means of attracting persons to your store " is carried out to the letter.
