Two cupfuls of sugar, one cupful of butter creamed together, three well-beaten eggs, two-thirds of a cupful of water, three cupfuls flour, two teaspoonfuls of baking powder sifted in flour, vanilla, half teaspoonful, and a little nutmeg.
