WHITE PART Cream together 1 cup white sugar and ½ cup butter, then add½ cup sweet milk, beaten whites of 4 eggs,½ cup cornstarch, 1 cup Five Roses flour (into which have previously been mixed 1 teaspoon cream of tartar and½ teaspoon soda). Flavor with lemon extract.
