Lemon Syrup

Vanilla Velvet.

D I ounce I ounce Fill soda tumbler with fine and coarse stream. Can also be served with plain or ice cream.

Vichy a la Egg.

One whole egg, ½ glass shaved ice, I ounce pure water. Shake thoroughly; then add slowly, while constantly stirring, enough vichy water to fill the glass.

Vienna.

Juice of I lemon, I teaspoonful powdered sugar, 1/2 ounce lemon syrup. Mix juice, sugar and syrup in a shaker, fill 8-ounce glass to within 1½ inch of top with plain water and shaved ice, pour in shaker, shake, strain, filling glass to within 1/2 inch of top. Then carefully pour enough blackberry wine down the side of the glass to fill. Do not stir. Top with slice of orange and serve with straws.
