Rhine Wine

I quart 3 quarts 3 pints 2 pints I pint IO pints Add 14 pounds sugar, stir until it is all dissolved. To serve, draw 2 ounces in a mineral glass, a little shaved ice, fill with solid soda, stir and garnish with a slice of orange, a sprig of mint and a creme de menthe cherry.

Claret Ringue.

Claret syrup, I ounce; lemon syrup, I ounce; port wine, 1/2 ounce sweet cream, ½ ounce. Mix and serve in 5-ounce glass.

Clarine.

One-half ounce claret syrup, 1½ ounce Catawba syrup, I dram solution acid phosphates. Serve like phosphates.
