A Pure Wheat Breakfast Food

(Made by the Five Roses millers from the same wheat as the flour) WE did not ourselves appreciate the delicacy of taste and nutritive value of the Five Roses Breakfast Food until its consistently increasing sales forced its merits upon our attention. The really distinctive feature is the natural wheat flavor of this product. Made from identically the same splendid wheat as Five Roses flour, it is really nothing else but the plump Manitoba berry in its purest condition reduced expertly to an even granulation. Unlike other similar cereals, it is not roasted, baked, malted or otherwise prepared. There is therefore at your disposal in an attractive readily-prepared form all the nutrition and nutlike qualities peculiar to the sun-ripened wheat kernels grown in our North-West. So far its sale has never been forced by advertising. It does not even possess a distinctive name or package.

If we had not been planning the Five Roses Cook Book you might never have heard of this good food. When we asked our expert to suggest a few recipes, she was truly amazed at the multitudinous uses of an article which so far we had regarded simply as a by-product. By merely substituting a cup of the Breakfast Food for every 1½ cups of Five Roses flour, any recipe contained in this book becomes completely changed, and the result is very original, appetizing and digestible. Try it for puddings, muffins, griddle cakes, fried cakes, cookies, rolls and dough nuts, and biscuits, etc., etc.

As a Breakfast Food, there is nothing so truly wholesome and easily prepared. And there is a certainty of digestion which creates confidence in the unfortunate possessor of a weak stomach. The Editor has seen children, just weaned, fed consistently on this cereal, and such happy, chubby babies are the very best advertisement the food can ever have. They never seem to tire of it. Ask your grocer for a trial package.

We append a few recipes which will suggest many other ways of using this delightful wheaten product. Each recipe has been tried and tested, and is guaranteed by the publishers of the Five Roses Cook Book.
