1 cup sugar 2 cups Five Roses flour 1 egg 2 tablespoons butter ½ teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon cream of tartar ½ teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons milk ½ cup chopped nuts ¼ cup chopped raisins.

Drop from a teaspoon and bake in quick oven.
