Fruit Acid (I quart quarts I ounce)

I quart 4 quarts I ounce Blackberry Bloom.

A Splendid August Drink.

Draw 1 1/2 ounces blackberry floss syrup into a mineral glass, add a dash of phosphate, half fill the glass with shaved ice and then fill with solid soda, top with a thin slice of lemon, and serve with a straw. Black and White.

Ice cream with chocolate sauce poured over.

Black Hawk Sundae.

Mix crushed blackberries with grated black walnuts. Pour over ice cream and top off with whipped cream and one maraschino cherry. Serve in sundae cup.

Blood Orange Frappe.

Juice of I orange, 1/2 ounce raspberry syrup, I dram lemon juice, I tablespoonful sugar, 1½ glassful shaved ice. About half fill the glass with the coarse stream, stir, strain into a mineral water glass and fill with carbonated water.
