Angostura Bitters

I I ounce I ounce 2 drams Elks' Delight.

Juice of half an orange, juice of half a lemon, pure grape juice 1 ounce, powdered sugar 2 teaspoonfuls. Cracked ice to half fill glass, plain water to finish; shake, serve in 12-ounce lemonade glass. Garnish with slice of orange and cherry.

English Sherbet.

One ounce claret syrup, I ounce pineapple syrup, juice of half a lemon, half glassful plain water ice. Mix in 8-ounce glass, fill with coarse stream, mix well, serve with spoon.

Fairy Punch.

Suitable quantities of strawberry, orange and pineapple syrups, juice of 1½ lemon. Fill glass full shaved ice, fill with soda, add a few strawberries, slices of pineapple and orange; straws.

Fig Souffle.

Cut a fig (of some large, fine brand) into quarters and mix with vanilla cream, put in a stem ice cream glass and pour some of the fig juice over the top. The figs give a fine flavor to the cream.

Fleur d'Orange.

Sundae proportion ice cream, orange syrup, whipped cream, and orange cut in cubes. Strawberry Flower is the same, only strawberries are used. We recommend the use of American Concentrated Syrups, as they require no compounding, except dilution with simple syrup. The best formulas for their use will be found under their proper headings. Flinch Frappe.

Strawberry syrup, 34 ounce; pineapple syrup, 34 ounce; sweet cream, I ounce; angostura bitters, I dash. Small quantity of ice cream, shake well, put in 12-ounce glass, add a little soda, small stream, and ice cream to fill up glass. Garnish with pineapple and cherry.

Floating Island.

Juice of 1 lemon, 11/2 ounces of pineapple syrup. Draw into 12-ounce glass, fill with coarse stream, add slice of pineapple and ladleful crushed pineapple, and serve with spoon and straws.

Floating Island Punch.

One ounce Catawba syrup, I ounce sherry syrup, white of I egg, I ounce sweet cream. Shake well and strain, using shaved ice in shaking. Use fine stream soda and serve same as egg phosphate. Top off with whipped cream and serve straws.

Florida Fruit.

One dram vanilla extract, I dram orange essence, I dram lemon essence, I ounce pineapple juice, 1 ounce strawberry juice, sufficient soda foam, and syrup enough to make 32 ounces. Color with tincture of cudbear, and serve like any other syrup in a 12-ounce glass.
